The New Master and Wardens Were installed on 24th October 2019
Professor Ken Grattan OBE was installed as Master of the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers on 24 October 2019. Ken is currently the Royal Academy of Engineering – George Daniels Professor of Scientific Instrumentation at City, University of London, having joined the University as a Lecturer in 1983.
Martyn Wheatley was also installed as the Senior Warden. Martyn has spent over 40 years working with automated systems of all descriptions and specialises in the application of a wide range of sensor devises across every type of computer controlled set up imaginable.
In addition, Charles Holroyd was appointed as the Junior Warden. Charles has a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bristol University and an MBA from INSEAD and is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Charles has held senior management positions within a number of publicly quoted companies. Charles is currently Chairman of IBEX Ventures - a venture-capital backed technology business in the advanced stages of commercialisation of a patented X-ray detector technology for medical X-ray imaging markets.
