Covid19 and impact on normal Company Activities
We are all aware of the unprecedented situation affecting the UK as a whole and the potential impact on SIM, certainly over the next few months.
Yesterday, there were a number of Committee meetings and the Master took the opportunity to discuss the events planned for the next few months and the implications of the current situation given the demographics of the Company.

27 March United Guilds Service Cancelled (all payments will be refunded)
30 March Various Committees Remote Meetings via SKYPE/Zoom etc
17 April SIMposium Cancelled
27 April Spring Court Dinner Cancelled
15-17 May Livery Weekend Postponed to more informal weekend 11-13 September 2020
26 May Various Committees Remote Meetings via SKYPE/Zoom etc
26 May Open Evening Cancelled.
8 June Shaping the future through STEM Cancelled
18 June Banquet Cancelled The Charter Banquet will now be held in June 2021
20 July Election Court Supper Cancelled
The Company is mindful of the need to maintain contact with potential new members and indeed ensure the business of the Company is continued throughout this period of uncertainty. More information on remote meetings etc will be shared in due course.
The Clerk and Assistant will be working at home and the main method of communication will be by email.
